The Trojans jumped out to an early 7-2 lead with 16:19 on the clock and climbed to an 11-point advantage with 7:24 left to play, but Tulsa fought back and pulled to within a basket, 34-31, at the break.
Mayberry came out and hit two quick shots to give TU a 35-34 advantage with 19:13 on the clock, but UALR took back the lead on a Taylor Gault jumper. Tulsa tied the game at 38-all at the 16:42 mark and again at 40 with 15:16 on the clock, but Gault hit a three-point basket to give the Trojans the lead, which they never relinquished.
