FCC, FBI Open Fraud Investigations Into Phone Companies

Our Oklahoma Impact Team has gotten the attention of the federal agency at the center of its investigation into government subsidized cell phones.

A spokesperson at the Federal Communications Commission acknowledged Thursday that our story "made the rounds" within the FCC.

Now it wants to know more about the fraud our Impact Team uncovered.

According to an attorney for a cell phone company featured in the story, the FCC has now opened an investigation into the company for non-compliance.

The FBI told our Impact Team it, too, is looking into the fraud allegations.
