Stretch Of US-169 To Be Dedicated To Chelsea Soldier Killed In Afghanistan

A fallen soldier from Chelsea will be soon honored here in Green Country.

Sergeant Anthony Peterson was a member of the 45th Infantry.

He was killed during his second tour of duty in Afghanistan in August of 2011.

Now a stretch of Highway 169, between 76th and 86th Streets North, will be dedicated in his honor this Saturday.

Back in May, Sergeant Peterson's parents were presented with a college degree in their son's memory from Rogers State University.
