The Tulsa Drillers' offense is getting downright offensive. The team's struggles continued Sunday night, managing only four hits in a 6-2 loss to the Arkansas Travelers.
This marks the eighth loss in 11 games for Tulsa, and in none of those eight losses did The Drillers score more than two runs.
Arkansas got on the board early when Travis Witherspoon hit a solo homer in the top of the first. Witherspoon followed that up with another solo shot in the third to make it 2-0 Travelers.
Michael Mitchell was the offensive bright spot for Tulsa, going 2-3 with an RBI double.
Tyler Chatwood took the loss for the Drillers, allowing four runs in five innings. Mike Piazza pitched 6 2/3 shutout innings to earn the win for Arkansas.
The series wraps up Monday night for Tulsa at home at 7:05 p.m.
