Parker Frazier's brilliant pitching performance Tuesday night carried the Tulsa Drillers to a 6-0 victory over the Corpus Christi Hooks.
Frazier allowed only three hits and struck out seven in seven innings of shutout baseball. He earned his fourth win of the season and lowered his ERA to 3.74.
The Drillers got on the board in the first inning when Ben Paulsen tripled home Jimmy Cesario to make it 1-0.
Tulsa increased its lead to 2-0 in the second inning, when Kent Matthes hit his 10th homer of the season.
It was 4-0 Drillers in the sixth, when Matthes slugged another home run. His 11th longball was a two-run shot that made it 6-0.
The win was a nice bounce-back performance for Tulsa after losing 16-2 on Monday night. The team is off Wednesday night, but resume play Thursday in Arkansas.
