ORU's Giller Named Pitcher Of The Week

Golden Eagles hurler Kurt Giller has received his first career pitcher of the week honor.

Oral Roberts baseball player Kurt Giller has been named the Summit League Pitcher of Week .

The honor is the first such career award for Giller who is a junior from Manhattan, Kansas.

Last week Giller tossed a complete shutout over Southern Utah.

In nine innings on the mound he gave up just three hits while tallying six strikeouts and holding a no-hitter into the seventh inning. The Golden Eagles went on to win 6-0.

Also honored by the conference this week are Oakland's Tim Ryan who was named the Player of the week while Justin Neubauer was the other co-pitcher of the week.

The Golden Eagles take the field again on Tuesday hosting the Oklahoma Sooners at 6:30 p.m.
