University of Tulsa shortstop Samantha Cobb has been named this week's Conference USA Hitter of the week after batting .700 with two home runs and driving in five runs.
Her performance in the batters box helped Tulsa take a series win over Memphis last weekend.
The junior added three runs scored and posted a 1.400 slugging percentage and a .727 on-base percentage in the series.
During Friday's doubleheader, Cobb went 4-for-7 and drove in a run while on Saturday she went 3-for-3 with two home runs, a double, a walk, four RBI and three runs scored. She accounted for five of the six Hurricane runs in the game, and six of the 12 TU runs in the series overall.
The conference honor marks the second time this season she received the same award and is the fourth of her career.
Tulsa softball will take the field at Missouri State on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
