Two people accused of several home burglaries in the Tulsa area were arrested after leading police on a high speed chase Monday.
John Wesley Brown, 23, and Amber Dawn Howard, 24, both of Tulsa, were booked on multiple complaints.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers say Tulsa police initiated the chase around 101st and Mingo, but they lost sight of the suspects and terminated their pursuit.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers joined the chase on the Creek Turnpike around 4 p.m. Troopers say the two began driving into oncoming traffic and passing dangerously on the shoulder at speeds of over 100 mph.
The pursuit continued onto the Will Rogers Turnpike and then onto Highway 266 where troopers deployed stop sticks, but the suspects were able avoid them.
Troopers were able to stop the pair near the Port of Catoosa by pushing the car off the road where it came to a rest near a tree. The two suspects bailed on foot but were eventually caught by OHP Troopers.
Amber Howard, the passenger, was treated at a Tulsa hospital with minor injuries before being booked into the Tulsa County Jail on a complaint of first degree burglary. Her bond was set at $20,000.
Brown was arrested on complaints of first degree burglary, eluding police while endangering others, no driver's license, no insurance and improper tag. He is being held on a $25,500 bond.
