Tulsa Fire investigators are trying to determine what caused an apartment complex fire early Monday morning.
Firefighters got the call at 2:30 a.m. about a fire at the Timberline Apartments near 78th and Sheridan.
Firefighters encountered heavy smoke and flame, but were still able to get inside the complex and determine everyone had gotten out of the apartments.
Fire burned through a fire hose causing firefighters to back out of the structure for a time.
Firefighters also had to battle strong southerly winds that fanned the flames.
Tulsa Fire says the fire started in a second-story apartment and quickly spread thanks to the strong winds.
Eight apartments were damaged by the fire and an additional eight sustained smoke and water damage.
No one was hurt.
The Tulsa Red Cross has assisted 10 people displaced by the fire.
