Tulsa Chamber Inaugurates Its New Leader

The new year brings a new leader and new opportunities for the Tulsa Metro Chamber of Commerce.

More than 1,200 area government and business leaders were there as the Chamber inaugurated Becky Frank as its new chairman of the board Tuesday.

Frank heads up a local public relations firm, and succeeds OU Tulsa president Doctor Gerry Clancy in the job.

Frank says, among other things, she'll focus on economic development, tourism and education.

"You have a lot of people who are really motivated and really excited to make something happen, so now we have to get together - you know we haven't been this unified as a community in a long time," Frank said.

Frank also wants to focus on promoting a positive, confident attitude about the Tulsa region.
