TULSA, Oklahoma – The Tulsa 66ers selected a total of 10 players in the D-League Thursday, including former Oklahoma State point guard Byron Eaton.
The 66ers had two picks in the first round, which they used on Curtis Sumpter and Gary Johnson. They picked Eaton with the 75th overall pick and their seventh of the day.
Sumpter played overseas in Greece last season,
"We are pleased with the outcome of tonight's NBA D-League draft," said Paul Rivers, Thunder Director of Minor League Operations and Basketball Technology. "We are looking forward to welcoming these 10 individuals to training camp of our development program in Tulsa starting next week."
With the NBA currently in a lockout, D-League affiliate teams were not allowed to draft anyone who played in the NBA last season. However, they could select recent college graduates and players who had been out of the league for more than a year.
