BARTLESVILLE, Oklahoma -- A Bartlesville man who entered a blind plea in August, 2011, to two counts of child abuse by injury was sentenced Wednesday in a Washington County courtroom.
Chester Cooper, 21, was arrested in December 2010 after his two-month-old twin boys required medical treatment for possible head injuries.
He received 40 years on count 1: child abuse by injury. He will be required to serve 30 years on that count. The second count was reduced to child abuse, and he received 40 years, suspended.
Bartlesville Police say Cooper admitted during police questioning to using force on both boys.
