Woman's Clinic Opens In Underserved Area Of Tulsa

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A woman's clinic opened its doors in an underserved area of Tulsa Thursday.

Doctor Calvin Monroe cut the ribbon on the Greenwood Healthcare Specialist for Women in North Tulsa. City leaders say its a godsend, the doctor says it's been a dream since high school.

"It's a dream come true. Practicing in this particular area is the same kind of community I grew up in at home. I felt there was a need, a very special need and I felt I could provide that service to fill that gap," Dr. Monroe said.

The center will have a grand opening this Saturday, from noon to 3:00 p.m. You can meet the staff, learn about their services and tour the facility.
