CUSHING, Oklahoma -- Firefighters battled a grassfire outside Cushing Thursday.
R.E. Noltensmeyer of Cushing Emergency Management said the fire involved about 200 acres northeast of Cushing.
"There are structures in danger," he said. "I don't know if they've lost any or not, but they are in danger."
Fire crews were having a difficult time getting to the front of the blaze because of the very rough terrain and timber, Noltensmeyer said. A Chinook helicopter arrived to help drop water on the wildfire.
Firefighters from Stillwater, Tryon and Stroud provided mutual aid in the battle.
