JENKS, Oklahoma -- After falling behind early, the Jenks Trojans dominated the Bixby Trojans 56-26 Friday to advance to the Class 6A quarterfinals.
Bixby scored on their first possession on a double-reverse pass to take a 7-0 lead, but Jenks junior running back Alex Ross responded with a 74-yard TD to tie the game.
That was the first of four scores for Ross and the first of 42 unanswered points for the Trojans. Ross finished the night with 283 yards on 15 carries and those four touchdowns.
Jenks will host Eisenhower in the second round at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12.
The Spartans finish the season 5-6, but will try to build on a 4-3 performance in district play.
