Bridge Creek’s Spangler Signs with Gonzaga

BLANCHARD, Oklahoma—Bridge Creek’s Ryan Spangler signed his letter of intent Wednesday to play basketball at Gonzaga University.

The two sport athlete will play forward for the Bulldogs.

The 6-foot-7 power forward verbally committed Gonzaga back in late September on a college visit.

“I’m glad it’s all over” said Spangler who averaged 26.4 points and 18.2 rebounds last season at Bridge Creek.

“Ryan has inside and outside capabilities, and really fits with their style, he is a big that can get up and down the floor, so I just think it’s a perfect fit for both of them,” said Jason Sanders, who is the head basketball coach at Bridge Creek.

He also is the quarterback for the Bobcats who begin post season play Friday against Purcell at 7:30.
