NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Powerhouse Midwest City improved to a 15-2 record after crushing Norman North Friday night, 59-35.
The matchup between Class 6A’s No. 1 Midwest City and No. 5 Norman North was neck-and-neck most of the game.
The Lady Bombers led by only two points at the end of the first quarter, and again by only two points at halftime, but the Lady Timberwolves’ defense couldn’t sustain enough pressure.
With the help of Kaylon Williams, the Lady Bombers went on a 20-0 scoring spree, blowing the Lady Timberwolves away offensively. The junior had four points within a five-second span during the run.
Williams ended the game with 16 points, while teammate Richa Jackson led the Lady Bombers with 18 points.
Norman North’s Heyley Scott finished with 10 points.
