EDMOND, Oklahoma -- The Edmond Santa Fe girls used timely shooting and clutch free throws to earn a 64-58 win in overtime over crosstown rival Edmond Memorial.
After Memorial’s Paige Locke hit two free throws to put her team up by three, Santa Fe’s Arielle Cooper hit a 3-pointer off the glass as time ran down in regulation to force overtime.
The two teams traded punches in the extra period until Courtney Walker gave Santa Fe a 58-56 lead. Her teammates then knocked their free throws to seal the six-point victory.
Walker led all scorers with 26 points and Jimi Blagowsky added 20 for the Wolves. Allie Decker led the Bulldogs with 20 points and Locke scored 18.
