BIXBY, Oklahoma – Round two of the Bixby Invitational built on Thursday’s opening round excitement. After escaping fourth quarter trouble on Thursday against Glenpool, the Union Redskins turned in another clutch performance down the stretch to beat the Springdale Har-Ber Wildcats 50-43. Union advances to play Springdale Saturday night at 8:30 for the tournament title.
The Bulldogs made it to the championship round after taking down Metro Christian, 62-47. Shelton Baird scored 26 points to lead Springdale.
As for the girls bracket, Bishop Kelley beat Ozark 48-38. A couple of clutch possessions in the fourth quarter saved the Lady Comets. Kristen Kelley scored 18 points to lead the Lady Comets past the Lady Tigers.
