Madill's Darryl Fields Commits to Southern Methodist

MADILL, Oklahoma -- Madill’s star running back Darryl Fields has committed to Southern Methodist University.

Fields decided to play for the Mustangs despite having offers from big name programs like Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Arkansas.

Fields rushed for 1,495 yards and 25 touchdowns in his senior campaign, for an average of 10 yards per carry.

The Mustangs are bowl eligible and look to make their first bowl appearance in 25 years.
