SOUTH COFFEYVILLE, Oklahoma – The Oklahoma Union Cougars lost seven games last season, but in the three they won they showed flashes of what they could do at top form. Fourteen players with an extra year of experience the Cougars should be able to improve their total from a season ago. The turnaround will start up front, Oklahoma Union brings back all five linemen from a year ago, highlighted senior offensive lineman Andrew Riff (5’11” 230lbs) and junior offensive linemen Chase Kitterman (6’4” 220lbs) and Tucker Webb (5’8” 180lbs). Benefitting from the experience up front are senior quarterback Josh Baldwin (5’8” 140lbs) and junior running back Dylan Kipps (5’8” 150lbs), a quick duo in the backfield who should open things up for the offense. Their top player on defense is junior defensive end Donee Teel (5’11” 175lbs), a returning all district player from last year. Joining him on the line are juniors Dylan Hammons (5’8” 185lbs) and Austin Davis (5’9” 180lbs) who bring athleticism to the front line. Linebacker should be a strong suit for Oklahoma Union as well, juniors Chad Inman (5’8” 170lbs) and Tyler Wood (5’9” 180lbs)should benefit from the big block eaters up front.
