STILLWATER, Okla. – Kevin Blaske, former head athletic trainer for the University of Miami football team, has been named the head athletic for the Oklahoma State football team, the school announced Wednesday.
Blaske was with the University of Miami (Fla.) for the past 10 seasons where he was also the head athletic trainer for the women’s golf team.
Former Cowboy head football trainer and head athletic trainer Rob Hunt left Oklahoma State to take the head football athletic trainer job with the Notre Dame program in March.
Blaske received a B.S. in biology from Missouri Southern in 1990 and a M.S. in sports management from Tulsa in 1992.
He has worked as an athletic trainer for the FSL Texas Rangers, Frontier Baseball League and others before moving to Miami.
Blaske starts his new position the first week of June and said he is looking forward to the opportunity.
“(Oklahoma State) is an exceptional program that has shown great improvement over the last 10 years,” Blaske said.
