STILLWATER, Okla. – OSU took a break from conference play on Tuesday night, handing Oklahoma Wesleyan a 6-1 loss to win their third straight game.

Oklahoma State improved to 19-6 on the year and 16-3 at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.

Andrew Heck was impressive on the mound for OSU, allowing just two hits and no runs in five innings to pick up his first win of the season.

The Cowboys didn’t waste any time, starting the scoring off in the bottom of the first inning.

Dane Philips and Zach Johnson both walked to reach base. Philips then scored on an RBI single from Jared Womack and Johnson came home on a passed ball.

Womack wasn’t finished on the day, for he delivered a two-run homer in the third to increase the OSU lead to 4-0.

Oklahoma Wesleyan’s Mickey Armstrong scored his team’s only run off a groundout.

The Cowboys will jump back into conference action on Friday when they take on Nebraska in Lincoln. First pitch in the opener is set for 6:35 p.m.
