ORU Finishes Season with Eighth-Straight Win
The Golden Eagles finished the regular season strong after beating the Western Illinois Leathernecks 69-57.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles completed its 10th consecutive winning season Saturday night, after beating Western Illinois 69-57 to improve to 17-14 overall and 13-5 in conference play.
The win came after ORU’s slow start, shooting 0-6 in the first minutes of the game. The Golden Eagles warmed up though, when Warren Niles hit a three-pointer and begin a 12-0 run for ORU.
Oral Roberts lead by 10 at halftime and finished off the Leathernecks in the second half, shooting 47 percent to keep a double-digit lead throughout the final 20 minutes.
Tulsa’s Steven Roundtree finished with double-double, recording 27 points and 12 rebounds. Damen Bell-Holter had 12 points and eight rebounds. Dominque Morrison finished with 21 points and five rebounds, while Niles ended the game with 18 points and two rebounds.
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane now prepares for the Summit League Tournament, scheduled to begin Saturday in Sioux Falls, S.S. The team will face either North Dakota State or Southern Utah.
