Oklahoma State Top 25 in Two Preseason Polls

STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- It was announced Tuesday that the Oklahoma State Cowgirls softball team is ranked 22nd in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Preseason Poll and 23rd in the NFCA/USA Today Preseason Poll.

The Cowgirls return three key pieces from a 44-16 squad that made an appearance in the Regional round of the NCAA Tournament, third baseman Mariah Gerhart, second baseman Alysia Hamilton and record-setting pitcher Kat Espinosa.

Oklahoma State has a tough schedule this season, boasting seven preseason Top 25 teams and 12 squads who appeared in the NCAA Tournament. OSU starts its season Feb. 11 against Cal Poly in the Kajikawa Classic.
