COLUMBIA, Missouri -- The arrests of 30 Missouri Tiger fans among thousands who stormed the school's football field after a victory over Oklahoma is drawing critics and claims of hypocrisy.
Those questioning the trespassing arrests during Missouri's collective euphoria over Saturday's victory over the Sooners want the university to explain why just 30 people were arrested.
They also say the university hypocritically tried to profit by selling pictures of the celebration and posted photos online. By Wednesday, the photos were removed from the university's website.
University officials have insisted that swarming onto the field carried serious safety risks, and that fans had ample warning arrests may happen.
