MUSKOGEE COUNTY, Oklahoma -- An Arkansas man died on an eastern Oklahoma highway from an apparent medical condition at 9:10 a.m. Saturday, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Van Buren resident Derek Allen Betancourt, 43, was southbound on Muskogee Turnpike at mile marker 47 in Muskogee County when his vehicle left the roadway and crossed the center median. The 2003 Chevy Malibu struck a concrete ditch and then continued on for 1,110 feet.
