PRYOR, Oklahoma -- There's new life for an empty building at the Mid-America Industrial Park in Pryor.

Labinal closed up shop for good a couple of years ago. The company, which built electric systems for the aerospace industry, just couldn't turn a profit.

Now, Cherokee Nation Industries is leasing the facility for its telecom division. The new company, which distributes AT&T equipment and parts, is moving from Tahlequah.

CNI says it will hire 35 people right away, with plans to expand.
