TULSA, Oklahoma -- DNA evidence has solved a Tulsa cold case murder.  Homicide detectives now say they now know who killed Alicia Thomas.

Her body was found in 2003, stabbed several times in the back, wrapped in a carpet, and dumped in a creek near 12th and Memorial.

Police say DNA from her body matches a man shot by police just months after the murder.

Luis Lara-Martinez pointed a gun at officers, and they opened fire. He was the prime suspect in another murder at the time.
