OWASSO, Oklahoma -- A Oklahoma military contact in Iraq tells News On 6 that paychecks already appear to have been cut because of the possible government shutdown.

The armed services pay every two weeks and the next check is due next Friday, April 15, 2011.

On Friday, soldiers could look at pay stubs online and many told News On 6 it indicates pay for only 1 week instead of two and that's got a lot of people worried.

Deployed soldiers won't be furloughed of course; the question is when they'll get their pay. Most all of them have direct deposit and their families back home are counting on that money.

According to the Pentagon, if a shutdown happens, but ends by next Tuesday, the military could get full paychecks on April 15, 2011.

Any longer than that and even deployed soldiers would get only partial pay.
