I'll need to be rather short this morning.

We're flirting with record low temperatures this morning.  The Tulsa record is -5 from 1996.  Afternoon highs today will be in the upper teens to lower 20s with mostly sunny conditions.  A few clouds will skirt across the region from time to time.  Wind chills will be in the zero to -20 ranges through the noon hour.  Thankfully our wind speeds today will be relatively light with 5 to 10 mph winds from the north.

Temperatures tomorrow morning also have the potential to be sub zero.

We expect mainly cloudy conditions tomorrow with highs in the lower to mid 20s with a slight chance of some snow showers or flurries as we begin tracking the first of three systems over the next 7 days.

The first one will be approaching from the southwest late tonight and Friday.  A few snow showers are possible across the eastern part of the state Friday but a small area of snow will be possible across southeastern OK tomorrow as the system begins moving eastward.

The second system will be approaching Sunday with a chance of some snow across northern Ok and southern Kansas.  Arctic air will slide across the state Sunday with temperatures below freezing Monday through next Thursday.  The Sunday system could produce accumulating snow across northern OK.

Wednesday another system is possible with a chance of snow.  Current projections place the bulk of this midweek system across Texas and extreme southern OK.  I have no doubt the models will vary greatly on the trajectory of this system over the next few days.

I'll attempt to post more later today.

 Be safe.
