UNDATED -- The economy is boosted by shoppers and businesses need more hands on deck to handle the workload.
"We're looking for anybody who is looking for a work opportunity," Larry Caulfield, Director of Operations for Staff Management, said.
Staff Management seeks 1,000 employees for holiday help and while they can't say who's hiring, News On 6 understands its Amazon in Coffeyville, Kansas.
"It's warehouse work," Caulfield said. "You are going to be on your feet but anybody with any skill set is welcome to apply and we've got an opportunity for just about anybody that is going to walk through our doors."
"I need a job," said Albany Mattick. "Right now I'm pretty broke."
Albany Mattick walked through the doors.
A full time job. Something more regular," she said. "I can be here all the time and get a regular paycheck for now seasons, Christmas, everything else."
Brian Grigg is a seasoned seasonal employee.
"It comes right at the right time you know," he said. "It's a plus because it's around Christmas time to be working. Gives you a little extra spending cash for the Christmas season and holiday."
Staff Management director Larry Caulfield says people are coming to apply from a 70 mile radius of the Coffeyville area.
"Right now we are at the what we call the ramp up to the peak and that's when we'll place 1,100 people over the course of four weeks," he said.
Caulfield says the client is looking to fill both full and part time positions that pay between $10.50 to $14 per hour.
"It's great to see the smile on people's face who have been looking," he said. "Good opportunity. Good opportunity."
