TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Corner Cafe is open for business, even though a car slammed into the restaurant early Tuesday morning.
The cafe sits on the corner of 11th and Peoria.
"I don't know what happened," said Ala Khatr, owner of the Corner Café. "I received a call at 3:30 in the morning. Somebody drive into my store. I come in and this is what happened. Somebody drive in and then drive off and gone. We don't know what it is or who is it."
Surveillance video caught the vehicle slamming into the building about 2:10 a.m. Tuesday morning. The driver quickly backed up and sped off south on Peoria.
Al Avilla and Scott Hollingsworth are regulars at the café.
"We sit there every morning," they said. "No I can't sit there today! Somebody took the whole wall out!"
"First time. I've been in this corner for 16 years. First time this happened," Khatr said.
In spite of the rude awakening, it was business as usual Tuesday.
"That's what I'm trying to do right now. Clean it up, get it fixed, back in business," Khatr said.
"We actually saw the open sign as we were driving by. It's open. There's people inside. So let's go find out what happened," said Neil Geyer, a customer.
Khatr said the good news is, no one got hurt.
Police are looking for the driver and the vehicle.
