U.S. Highway 60 Closes At Verdigris River Bridge In Nowata County

NOWATA COUNTY, Oklahoma -- The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says both east and westbound U.S. Highway 60 were closed Wednesday at the Verdigris River bridge.

ODOT says the closure is due to a scheduled bridge rehabilitation project which will last about two months.

The bridge is east of the community of Nowata.

Drivers have two options for a detour. Take Highway 28 north or a longer route south on Highway 169.
