TULSA, Oklahoma – A non-profit organization is giving the Tulsa Police Chaplain program more than a dozen bulletproof vests, Tulsa Police said Wednesday.
The Tulsa Police Department said Vest For Life will donate 17 bulletproof vests to the Tulsa Police Chaplaincy Corp, one for each Chaplain.
Vest For Life provides free body armor to law enforcement around the country.
TPD said several area police officers will also be receiving vests from the program.
The ceremony will take place Thursday, October 21st, 2010. It will be the largest one day donation in the history of the Vest For Life program.
