Claremore Lowe's Holds Children's Safety Event Saturday

CLAREMORE, Oklahoma -- Lowe's is offering a full day of family fun with an emphasis on safety. The Children's Safety Event is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Claremore Lowe's, 1746 S. Lynn Riggs Boulevard.

The event is open to the public free of charge.

Lowes Safety event includes:

• Ely & Friends: dog safety and first aid including how to behave around dogs
• Claremore Police Department and K-9 Officer: education on personal safety
• Claremore Fire Department: fire safety and fire drills
• Claremore Electric Company: safety around electricity
• Oklahoma Highway Patrol: crash simulator, managing information on lost kids and free digital ID kits to parents
• Claremore Red Cross: general safety and first aid

"Lowe's wants to keep children safe," said event organizer Veronica Dudek. "There will be fun activities for the children while they learn good safety information.
