TULSA, OK -- It's 24 hours of love at the Humane Society of Tulsa, 60th and Sheridan. Adopt your new best friend at half the cost - for select dogs and cats waiting for new homes.

The event continues through 5 p.m. Saturday.

"The goal is 50 pet adoptions in 24 hours, and we'll have a huge sign outside showing our adoptions and goals for all those driving by," said Kiley Roberson.

Every adopter will take home a free Humane Society T-shirt. Other events and freebies will be offered throughout the day.

Everyone who adopts a pet during Friday's Adopt-A-Thon will be entered into a drawing to win a year's supply of Science Diet pet food.

Remember to bring a copy of the vaccination history of your current or previous pet.
