ENID, OK -- Police in Enid are looking for the driver of a sport utility vehicle involved in a deadly hit-and-run that killed an 18-month-old girl.
Lt. Eric Holtzclaw said Carlianna Nathan of Enid died Wednesday night after being hit by the SUV in north Enid.
The family was sitting outside the house after playing at a playground across the street around 8:30 p.m. Carlianna's aunt Haythan Nathan went inside to get a drink of water for the kids and when she came back out, her 18-month-old niece was lying in the street.
"It wasn't even a minute. When I came back out they had already run over her. I went up there and picked her up. And this truck…this white SUV went so fast I couldn't even tell what license plate it was," Haythan Nathan said.
Carlianna Nathan died at an area hospital an hour later.
Holtzclaw said witnesses told police the SUV is white with large tires and chrome rims and bumpers, possibly a Chevrolet. He said it may have damage to the front where it hit the girl.
