CLAREMORE, OK -- The Rogers County Health Department has been selected winner of the 2009 Oklahoma Certified Healthy Business Award of Excellence.
In a news release, the health department says another county business received Award of Merit, and two others received Certificates of Recognition for providing health and wellness opportunities and working to improve the health status of Rogers County residents.
"The Rogers County Health Department and Rogers County Coalition would like to congratulate all of the award winners. We hope other companies and educational facilities will be encouraged to participate in this program and compete for awards next year," said Rogers County Health Department Administrator, Mary Beth Murray. "By working together, we can all have a positive impact on helping to improve the health of Oklahomans at home, in the community and on the job."
Rogers State University received the Award of Merit and the city of Claremore and Healthy Community Partnership in Claremore received Certificates of Recognition.
