Young Tulsa Skateboarder Hit By Truck

TULSA, OK -- An 11-year-old Tulsa boy was struck by a truck after he fell off a skateboard near 12th and Harvard at about 2:45 p.m. Saturday.

Tulsa Police say the child was skateboarding on a sidewalk when he fell in front of the vehicle, which was unable to avoid hitting him.

The boy has been transported to a Tulsa hospital with injuries.

Police at the scene said the boy hit his head, but it is not believed to be a life-threatening injury. He was alert and talking to ambulance personnel at the scene.
