Tulsa Police Investigate Fatal Shooting

TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Police are investigating a fatal shooting Friday at a residence in the 6900 block of East 5th Street.

Police say when they arrived to the scene, they found 45-year-old Marion Rowe had been shot and killed.

Police identified the suspect as 22-year-old Joey Mike.

Officers say Rowe got into an argument with Mike. During the argument, Rowe got out a large kitchen knife and threatened Mike, according to police. Police say Mike then shot Rowe.

Marion Rowe was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mike and witnesses were interviewed and released, pending further investigation.

Witnesses told police, Mike acted in self-defense. Upon completion, the investigation will be forwarded to the Tulsa County District Attorney for a decision on any applicable charges.
