TULSA, OK -- Two free Oklahoma City Thunder basketball game tickets await each blood donor who gives at Central Park Hall at Expo Square, Monday, December 28. Vouchers for the tickets will be given from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Oklahoma Blood Institute's (OBI) Holiday Blood Drive supported by the Thunder.
"The Thunder provides great motivation for good-hearted Oklahomans to give Monday, when so many are traveling or involved in holiday activities, and blood donation typically declines," said John Armitage, M.D., Oklahoma Blood Institute president and chief executive officer.
"We encourage all in the Tulsa-area to stop by Expo Square and give. Then, Oklahomans can ring in the New Year without concerns about sufficient blood supply for those who need it. Everyone wins!"
The vouchers will be redeemable for select 2010 Thunder games through the Tulsa 66ers, the minor league affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder. For more information, call 918-585-8444.
In addition to Thunder tickets, on Monday, December 28, donors will also score a voucher good for two free tickets to the Tulsa 66ers game on Jan. 3. Tulsa 66ers ticket vouchers can be redeemed the day of the game at the Tulsa Convention Center box office.
Healthy adults, 17 and older, are encouraged to donate. Blood can be given every 56 days. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 1-877-340-8777, or visiting www.obi.org.
