Creek Co. Homicide Suspect Arrested In Nashville

TULSA, OK -- A suspect wanted in a 2006 double homicide in Creek County has been arrested in Nashville, Tennessee.

Adam Roberts, 23, and three other suspects are accused of committing a home invasion near Bristow, Oklahoma on April 7th, 2006.

The Creek County Sheriff's Office says during the course of the burglary, Cassandra Morris was shot and killed.

The suspects then allegedly used a flammable liquid to set the house on fire.

Investigators say the suspects then stopped at a nearby house because they were concerned about witnesses to the homicide.

Deputies say the suspects shot and killed Kenneth Taylor, a killing that Taylor's wife witnessed from a window.

Three of the suspects were arrested shortly after the crime, but Roberts evaded arrest.

Last month, the U.S. Marshals Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force was asked to assist in the investigation.

U.S. Marshals investigators developed information that led them to beleive Roberts may have been living with a relative in Nashville.

He was arrested Wednesday morning without incident and taken to the Davidson County jail in Tennessee to await extradition back to Oklahoma.
