TULSA, OK -- The city of Tulsa is dropping its lawsuit over a new Tulsa County jail agreement.
Mayor Kathy Taylor made the announcement during a court-ordered mediation session Monday morning.
In a statement issued from Mayor Taylor's office, the mayor said, "In an effort to develop a spirit of cooperation on which to move forward to resolve the jail issue with the County, Mayor Taylor said the City of Tulsa has dismissed its lawsuit against Tulsa County this morning, without prejudice."
That means the city could re-file it.
Back in December, the City of Tulsa filed a lawsuit against Tulsa County and Sheriff Stanley Glanz over having to pay a fee for housing city prisoners at the Tulsa County jail.
