TULSA, OK -- Officers with the Tulsa Police Department say a suspect in a break-in and attempted robbery was taken into custody.

Police say a man entered a QuikTrip at 61st and Lewis, went behind the counter and tried to take money out of the register.

Police say he couldn't get to it and left.

Police believe the same man then burglarized the Goldie's Patio Grill at 51st and Lewis.

Officers responded to a burglary alarm and found someone had broken in through the glass door.

A canine officer discovered the suspect nearby.

Officers found a cash register on the floor and rolls of coins on the floorboard of the suspect's car.
