Tulsa Teacher Gets Wedding Proposal

TULSA, OK -- Christmas came a little early for one Tulsa Union School elementary teacher.

Megan Colburn is a pre-kindergarten teacher at Grove Elementary School.

Every year, teachers at Grove, exchange Christmas ornaments. But this year, Megan's ornament came with a surprise, an engagement ring.

Megan and her boyfriend Todd Sparks, both attended third grade at Grove. She says that made the proposal on Thursday even more memorable.

"That's really special that he did this here. I can't believe it," said Megan Colburn.

The couple's parents were there to watch the surprise proposal as well.

And of course, Megan said "yes."
