A group of bikers riding for a cure for cancer stopped in Tulsa on Tuesday.
The group is part of "Ride for the Relay", a new spin of the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
Five dozen bikers are riding from Chicago to Santa Monica to raise money for the cancer foundation.
The riders say the trip down Route 66 is about more than the sites along the way.
"As you ride across this heartland and you meet the people, just like yourself, the people who own the restaurants, the people along the way," explained Ride for the Relay organizer Rodger Fox. "Those are the people who make the 4th or 5th page of the newspaper. They're the good people that are out here helping people and doing things. It's not normally the cover story."
Rodger Fox and his wife are both 23-year cancer survivors. They organized the 11-day trip.
