Concerned Citizens Rid Park Of Trash

Some concerned citizens say garbage is trashing Centennial Park. On Sunday, they rolled up their sleeves to clean it up.

Dozens of volunteers lent their time and tools to help a group called, ThisTulsa.com clear out the mess. They targeted trash in the park's pond and on its grounds.

"I'm sure the city doesn't have time to pick up every little bit of trash they see. So, we are all free and we thought we'd get together and help out," said Justin Shattuck, volunteer.

Organizers with ThisTulsa.com say the project is the first step toward giving back to the community. It plans to organize similar events in the future.
