Trooper Involved In Crash

A wreck in Okmulgee County involved an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper.

A witness at the scene told The News On 6 that a woman and her two sons were travelling eastbound on Highway 16 near Highway 75 and were turning left onto a rural road.  The woman was being followed by another car that was followed by an OHP trooper. 

As the first woman was turning, the second driver slowed down.  At that point, the witness says, the trooper tried to pass the second car and struck the woman who was turning.

The woman was taken by air ambulance to a Tulsa hospital.  The two boys were also transported to a Tulsa hospital.

It appears the OHP trooper was not seriously hurt.
