Keeping kids busy during the summer can be a challenge. Sapulpa schools are helping with a new program called "Camp Invention." NewsOn6.com anchor Margaret Stokes reports the camp is a national program that for the first time ever, is offered in Green Country.
The Camp Invention program was created in 1990 by the National Inventors Hall of Fame Foundation. The purpose is to encourage first through sixth graders across the nation to participate in hands-on, interactive activities that promote creativity.
Which is exactly why Morgan Nelsen will come back next year.
"Some teachers say you didn't do this right. But here they say it's your invention you can do what you want with it. And you can fix your problem at home," said Nelsen.
